IMPORTANT MUSEUM NEWS

The museum was closed August 4th through August 15 to perform important updating. The museum is an old Victorian building and retains most of the old, historical windows, which are woefully energy inefficient. During the closing, these windows were replaced by new, double pane, energy efficient windows. Besides updating the look of the look of the museum, it will also result in a reduction of the museum energy bills.
During the winter museum closing, the 2nd floor display rooms are being updated. New carpeting will be installed as well as the walls repaired and painted. It's a major undertaking through a generous donation by a benefactor and the hard work of the museum curator and Moundsville Chapter members.

The 33rd. Annual F.G.S.A. Convention, Elegant Glass Show and Sale
will be held June 7, 8, 9, 2013 at the

Moundsville Center Building

in the historic tourist attraction, the former West Virginia Penitentiary,
entry gate located at 901 Eighth Street, Moundsville, WV.

Joining us again this year will be dealers from the Imperial Glass Club

Collectors from across the United States will gather in Moundsville, WV to visit the museum, attend the glass show and auction, all at the new location. The convention this year will feature Fostoria's Navarre pattern, one of Fostoria's most popular etched pattern.
